Bloodsplattered — This design is going to get a little messy! In addition to a blood-red color, a white basecoat, and a topcoat, you're also going to need a slim straw, some tape, and a disposable surface to do it on. Before you begin, tape your fingers using the technique featured in our marbling nail art tutorial so you don't have to scrub polish off your fingers later.

Tape away, then paint your nails all white.

Warning: This is going to use up a lot of red polish, so don't use your nice stuff! If the polish is too thick, pour a few drops of acetone in the bottle and shake. Pour some red polish on your surface and tip the end of a straw in the polish. Make sure a film forms over the entire end of the straw... and then blow! Get all Jackson Pollock on your nails.

A layer of topcoat later, and voila! Dexter-approved nails that'll get some eyebrows a-waggin'.
